So I've been pretty busy over the last week or so and haven't really had much time to play with my lovely new 7d but I took a couple of generic pics on my lunch the other day to test out the quality. I'm more excited about the video feature though so I'll get on making some movies!

Today has been fun. Basically just had to drive around and hand birthday cake out to builders and film it. Brill!

Childhood memories

I just remembered this poem which used to be my favourite when I was a kid. On the subject of childhood memories...Jenny just told me there was a lad in her class who would do a 'Snotcano'-where you would tilt your head back and blow bubbles with your snot so it erupts! Nice!

OMG OMG OMG!

My new Canon 7D arrived just now! I had an email off the tracking website saying it was delivered and ran downstairs to see the receptionist signing for it. Only 3 days to come from Hong Kong, brilliant!!! Super, super excited! :D Expect A LOT of slow mo videos to come in the future...

Today is lovely.

Whilst I had weird dreams about almost punching one of my friends in the face after him drunkenly chucking water over me at a party, I've had a slight spring in my step this morning. The only reason for this being the lovely, mild weather and finally getting to see a glimpse of daylight when I leave the house. It was so tempting to just drive in the opposite direction of work this morning and go on an adventure. I'll just have to find other areas of my life to be spontaneous.

What I've been reading this morning.

Detox 2011

My new years resolution is to eat less vegetables and this is my lunch. Absolutely despicable. I mean, come on, I could of at least ordered a Meat Feast.

truffle shuffle

I made some truffles for my Dad yesterday as a thank you for helping me sell/buy my car. He hasn't saw them yet so hopefully he doesn't find them too sickly!

I ordered these cute stickers made by Henrietta Swift off the YCN site and I've been having fun sticking them around work.

First week of January

So it doesn't feel like a fresh start at the minute. Could of done with a little more holiday but y'know. I kind of don't have any new years resolutions either which is probably why I don't feel all ready about tackling 2011. It's a bit late to recap my new year but I had a lovely time visiting friends in Falmouth. I also got myself a new car 2 days ago (a modernish one which means heating and a cd player, oh yes!!) and a new phone so 2011 is the year of technology for me! I'm rather excited about spending the left over money from my car...I've been told I don't need one but I'm probably going to spend my money on a Canon 7d. (eeee!) Naughty I know but I consider it to be a good investment. Maybe.

I think I ought to make up some resolutions right now to keep me focused. Actually it's more of a to-do list.

1) Push my creative boundaries and still do my own thing on the side.
2) Take more photos. (as per usual)
3) Keep being positive and be nice to people.
4) Save some pennies (this one can wait)
5) Get a tan.
6) Spend time with family and acknowledge my dogs more.
7) Go to bed early. Wake up early.
8) Try new things.

One thing I've been happy with myself about in the last few months is my decrease in procrastination. Heck I'm still really bad for it (note to self-blogging IS NOT working *ahem*) but I've been getting better at doing things I say I'm going to do. So on that note, I'm going. Hasta luego amigos. x
