Yesterday my copywriter thought she was right clever now that she's learnt a few skillz on photoshops. Tried comping my head onto a duck didn't she. To little success I might add. So I thought, right I'm having none of that, last 10 mins of the day I got her back with this baby... not so funny now are we JenNOI!

Ruby Rae Love

Only just got round to blogging this but it's definitely worth a post. Last week I received some lovely post off Ella Masters, the creator behind Ruby Rae Love jewellery. She sent me this beautiful skull and opalite tooth silver necklace. I don't really wear jewellery unless it's unusual or sentimental in some way and I love how Ella makes these cute creations in her own little shed using bought and found materials. She really does put time and love into each piece which goes to show why a lot of her jewellery has sold out. The gold single quartz cluster ring has unfortunately gone :( Ella also posts regular vlogs (video blogs to you and me) of what she's been up to showing you just how much care she puts into Ruby Rae Love. Umbro/New York Cosmos

In the last 2 days some pretty cool adverts have been grabbing my eye around Birmingham. Imagine this, on a huge billboard.

Interesting conversation

1. Jenny's boyfriend (lol) Sam, was talking about the amount of cvs coming in off prospective employees to take his place at work when he leaves to go work as a sales assistant at Iceland. There was a massive stack of them and when Sam said how are we going to get through all of this, his boss gathers them all in a neat pile and throws half in the bin. Sam asks why he'd gone and done this and he replies 'Those people are unlucky. I don't want to work with unlucky people.' I thought that was fucking genius. Moronic. But gutsy none the less. When I'm my own boss I'm gonna be that much of a prick. N.B. This story is all true except for the Iceland bit.


2. Overheard in the office. You can't see when your invisible because light can't hit your non existent corneas. So if you did want to be invisible you'd have to be a pair of floating eyeballs which wouldn't be very conspicuous now would it.

On another note, today is rubbish.

Cannes Young Lions Competition

Earlier on my blog I mentioned that me and Jenny had entered the Cannes Young Lions competition. As a quick reminder, we were sent a brief on Friday evening a couple of weeks ago and had 48 hours to come up with a print campaign to raise awareness of the Unicef’s Inspired Gift scheme. Last week we found out we were shortlisted along with five others. (A huge achievement in itself.)
On Friday, I received a phone call at work off the Guardian to tell us WE'D ONLY GONE AND WON IT! WOOOO! Me and Jenny ran all the way out the building, past the carpark into the caretakers allotment just to scream our excitement! 


This means, come June this year, we will be representing the UK at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. We’ll get full entry to the festival and whilst we’re there we’ll be competing in a 24 hour competition against fellow winners from all over the world. I'm so unbelievably chuffed and it just goes to show that motivating my ass to work over that one weekend paid off. After much celebrating on Friday I woke up with a bubbly headache thinking it was just a dream but thankfully no. I'M A YOUNG LION BABY RAWWWWWRRRRRR!!!!! :D

I'm really pleased to see that my blog traffic has increased by over 50% compared to the last quarterly review. What's that?   You're falling asleep? Old pics from charlottes bike ride

I went on a really nice bike ride/pub crawl at the weekend around Birmingham and it reminded me that I never put up the pics from the birthday bike ride I went on for Charlottes birthday 2 months ago. We went from Camberwell Green to Crystal Palace dinosaur park. I did start making a video of the day as well but never got round to finishing it. Oh ohhh. Here's a couple of group shots.
