1 x 7 is...

Yesterday morning I was listening to hot92.fm earlier than I normally do. They were doing rap versions of times tables for all the youngsters on their way to school. Here's an example of the lyrics:

1x7 is 7. Do you know someone in Heaven?
2x7 is 14. Can be brainy and sporty.
3x7 is 21. If you're not careful you're gonna get a gun.

Or summat like that. It was actually well catchy and better than listening to the drawling voices of radio 1/Capital/Heart in the morning. Here's a snippet of me trying to record some of it on my phone.

Memo by Badteef

Victory for the pikey house!

Me and about 8 of my housemates, by pure surprise, won the pub quiz last night. When they announced our name we literally went crazy because we thought we had no hope. All I managed to contribute to was the drawing round. The £30 bar tab went down well and I suspect it brought our pikey family even closer. :)

[A prime example of why we were underdogs...Beth's celebratory facebook status: 'One the pub quiz! :D'     - oh dear!]

Hump of the Week updates

Hello! I've had a tiring but fun start of the week doing a video shoot at Junction Eleven the last 2 days. Listening to 90s RnB with Si Cox, using nice equipment, getting tipsy and being allowed to make an absolute mess of the studio. Can't ask for better really. I won't say too much right now but I will tell you that it's going to be very colourful!
When I got to work this morning I had brilliant delivery from America. A Fourstar air freshener of Mark Gonzales' face! That probably doesn't mean anything to a lot of you but it has made my day! YUS! My car gonna be smellin sooooo goooooood AND looking fly. I don't think I'll ever chuck it away...

Please send pick n' mix

I haven't met a person with identical taste in pick n' mix as me which I suppose is a good thing if you go the cinema with them and don't have to share all the best sweets. The day I do though is the day I meet my soulmate! I prefer if those illustrators/photographers etc that send their contact details to me at work sent me these items instead of their business card.

Order of preference:

bubblegum cola bottles
banana mallows
flying saucers
blackberry/raspberry domes
jelly babies
foam strawberries
chocolate peanuts
bon bons
shrimps
rum n raisin fudge
spearmint chews

And extra points for golf ball chuddies.

Canimation: The Next Generation of Animators

Napkin Art

Napkin Art by Simon Schubert. Something amazingly creative and beautiful out of something so ordinary.  Incredible.

Wed 11th Jan

Good morning world. It was hard to sleep last night because I don't have any curtains and the full moon was beaming through. I saw two foxes run across my garden this morning which was pretty cool. By the time I thought to get my camera they had scarpered but if I had taken a photo it would've had the same eery quality as Peter Sutherlands photographs in 'Buck Shots.'

In other news I have started jogging. LOL. I'm hoping to keep it up because I bought running gear to make me. I really like how other joggers will just say hello to me in the park now. I have been accepted into the jogger secret society! I've even bought some actual running shoes rather than my 50p Nikes just to keep up the facade. I'll update you in the weeks to come.

More news in a nutshell. A short interview with my brother was on a Channel 4 ad break on Monday talking about his Redbull Canimation entry. Sadly I missed it.

Myself and Jenny have joined the YCC crit list of creative teams. So if you're a graduate looking for feedback or advice on your book (we're based in the midlands) then feel free to approach us. (In a professional manner of course.)

In other news, Cogent Elliott was voted Midlands Advertising Agency of the Year (that being the last 12 months silly.) As well as highlighting some of the agency's achievements, me and Jen get a special mention for our Cannes Young Lions win in June.
